What is a load cell and how does it work?

Load cells are one of the most important components of a scale to indicate the correct weight of a product.

The load cell measures the force exerted by a given object on it, transforming this force into an output signal.

The way they detect this force can be by flexing, shearing, compression, tension, etc.

Cells for industrial platforms:

Weighing cells are high-precision cutters, available in various maximum capacities. The construction can be completely made of stainless steel or nickel plated steel. The IP68 hermetic seal of these load cells ensures reliable precision and robustness in the most severe industrial applications.

They are the ideal option for high-precision weighing platforms due to the provision of loading with blind holes combined with self-centering feet.

Bridge scales cells:

Analog compression cell is highly accurate and comprises several maximum capacities available. The all-stainless steel construction and the complete IP69K hermetic seal guarantee reliable precision and robustness in the most severe industrial applications. The TC is the ideal option for high-precision bridge scales and is equipped with gas discharges for protection against lightning strikes and cable with metal rodent protection.

Digital compression load cell is a high precision compression load cell, available with various maximum capacities. The all-stainless steel construction and the complete IP69K hermetic seal guarantee reliable precision and robustness in the most severe industrial applications. The TC load cell is the ideal option for high-precision bridge scales and is equipped with gas discharges for protection against lightning strikes, software angle adjustment, cable with metal anti-rod protection and metal connectors.
