It’s time to celebrate all the bright minds – the engineers this country has produced and continues to produce. These men of might have over the years worked together to make this country and world more sustainable. September 15th is marked as Engineer’s Day to celebrate the birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya popularly known as Sir MV, who was an Indian civil engineer and reputed statesman. Also, the 19th Diwan of Mysore, MV, was the Chief Engineer of Krishna Raja Sagara dam in the north-west suburb of Mysuru city, and he is remembered till date for his contribution as one of the Chief Engineers of the flood protection system designed for the city of Hyderabad.
